Montessori-Inspired Learning
Introduction
Originating in the 1900s by the Italian Physician Dr. Maria Montessori, the Montessori method of education is centered around the belief that children learn best when actively engaged in their learning process. InnovOak School's approach to Montessori-inspired learning harnesses the core principles of the method, including fostering confidence, promoting encouragement, and incorporating purposeful play. We align these principles with the Ontario Curriculum standards while leveraging the specialized materials of the Montessori method to facilitate purposeful learning activities.
By integrating Montessori-inspired practices, InnovOak lays a solid foundation for literacy and mathematics, empowering students with knowledge and confidence in their academic journey. Guided by experienced educators, students engage in purposeful activities that promote concentration skills and joyful self-discipline within a structured environment. Our program extends the Montessori method to create a comprehensive learning framework that supports students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
