Commitment to Accountability
Responsibility for High Academic Standards
You want to be comfortable in your decision to send your child to InnovOak and you expect that our curriculum and teachers will help you student along their path to success. InnovOak’s JK-Grade 12 transition-free model strives to graduate students who earn post-secondary grades equal to or greater than their time at InnovOak. With our solid foundation, your student can apply the same effort and diligence they brought to their time at InnovOak, to achieve similar results in their post-secondary education. Teachers skillfully differentiate instruction to meet the high academic and personal goals set for each students. We work to ensure your child reaches their full potential.
We want parents to know that their student is achieving and on track to success. We choose to participate in EQAO to compare our students against the provincial standards. Students participate in Grades 3, 6, and 9, with the goal to score 3.7/4. Using this comparison as one of many tools to track student progress, we challenge and support students to achieve success beyond the Ontario Curriculum.
Open Communication and Regular Feedback
School should be a place where parents are included in the partnership, valued in their input, and assured their student is getting a quality education. We are responsive to our school community. By soliciting feedback and providing open communication, we ensure that we are meeting the expectations and standards we have set out. Yearly quality assurance surveys provide an opportunity for parents to share their experiences in addition to ongoing parent-teacher communication and regular progress updates. This feedback is valued and used for goal setting.
Parents are invited to participate in their child’s education and school life. Our Principal’s Parent Advisory Council (PPAC) is a fantastic way for parents to be heard and positively impact the school. Private schools are not required to have parent advisory councils however InnovOak knows the value of the parent voice and has created the PPAC to provide parents the opportunity to share.
